Ninety-seven years ago, on October 22, 1912, Dale Carnegie started lecturing at the YMCA on 125th Street in New York City. As he later described it: "I have, since 1912, been conducting educational courses for business and professional men and women. At first, I conducted courses in public speaking only...but gradually I realized they needed still more training in the fine art of getting along with people in everyday business and social contacts." It was the beginning of an incredibly successful personal career as well as the origin of Dale Carnegie Training.
